All hail Raticate and Rattata!
XD
I never liked Raticate or Rattata at first, but as I started focusing on my pokemon character it's really a useful pokemon.
Simple, but if it's loyal to you to no end then it's worth it and I think this would be a good starter for a beginner trainer.
My character had a Rattata she named Remy who later evolved and sadly passed away during the Johto Journey, she was crushed and lonely until she got her Eevee.
But she bonded with him because she helped her father nurse him back to health after finding him frozen and starving...
Pokemon rule! And there should be no shame in loving it
